We at Checklist are always thinking about innovative solutions to common home-related problems.  As New Yorkers without garages or driveways, don’t you find it strange that there is no obvious, convenient, attractive place to store trash and recyclables?  Clients are asking for a solution, so they will get it!

Last summer we began prototyping an outdoor storage solution for urban dwellers.  It is called the CitiBin, and it is coming to a neighborhood near you!  Here are some pictures of our early prototypes.

Our first CitiBin, for a client on 1st St in Park Slope. Made from Trex composite lumber.

CitiBin prototype with Hardie cement board. Hicks St in Brooklyn Heights.

This summer we are rolling the CitiBin out to our existing clients and to select neighborhoods in Brooklyn.  Interested?  Give us a call at 347-695-1882 to schedule a free home estimate visit.  The more interest, the lower the per unit price, since we can can buy materials in higher volumes at wholesale prices rather than retail.

Our preoccupation with how to build a better mouse trap for trash storage was actually featured in a Morgan Spurlock web documentary on Yahoo Screen.  Watch this short 7-minute clip to see how serious we take this issue, pulling in clients, neighbors, and even our own children to provide their input on design, ergonomics, and materials.

Help us innovate by being a beta customer of the CitiBin!  We give “early adopters” a preferred price in exchange for your feedback.  Schedule an estimate visit for your house, coop, condo, landlord, or business today.  347-695-1882
